FAQ

Are you members of any trade associations?

We are proud members of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and the Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF).  This guarantees that we have met the very highest quality standard levels and shown excellent professionalism in the way we operate our service.

Attended and Unattended - What is the difference?

Attended funerals are more traditional funeral services, often featuring a ceremony or service with family members, friends, and other mourners in attendance to pay their respects and honour the memory of their loved one.  These services can be personalised and unique, creating a lasting tribute that reflects the life and personality of the person who has passed away.

An Unattended funeral, also referred to as Direct Cremation, is a cremation without a funeral service and with no attendees. This means that there is no formal ceremony before the cremation and no family or friends present.  This option can be ideal for those who prefer a cheaper or more private, low-key approach to saying goodbye or for families who may wish to hold a separate memorial service or celebration of life at a later date.   As with Attended funerals, your loved ones ashes are safely returned to you.

Goods and services may include local authority (cemetery or crematoria) fees, church or celebrant fees, newspaper announcements, floral tributes etc.
